Report: Conseco building to be converted into office space

ROCKFORD, May 1 — According to the Rockford Register Star, the historic Conseco Medical Insurance Co. building will become 21st Century office space. The building’s new tenant, Transatlantic Connection Inc., is a local engineering company currently located at 109 N. Main St.

Transatlantic President Kevin Holdmann and his wife, Lenae Weichel, hope to have the space ready for occupancy by early 2016. The company will use about a quarter of the building and lease the rest out.

Lenae Weichel was quoted on the rennovations, “It’s going to be an upscale office place, a neat place for a person to do business.”
