Illinois Defence Industry Adjustment Program (DIA) assists the Rockford Region’s 250+ companies and 11 tier-one suppliers that provide products to the global aerospace, aviation, and defense industry; presenting a tremendous opportunity for our region’s growth prospects. With leadership from local stakeholders including higher education institutions (Northern Illinois University and Embry Riddle-Aeronautical University) and industry (UTC Aerospace Systems and Woodward), Rockford Region leaders continue working to define a clear strategy for growing the aerospace cluster and is ripe for large-scale community adjustment.

Rockford Local Development Corporation (RLDC) specializes in financing for small and mid-sized companies including SBA 504 financing along with managing several local loan programs.
The Illinois Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) provides no-cost services to businesses in Winnebago, Boone, Stephenson, and Ogle counties. The PTAC can help determine suitability for government contracting.
