Recently Mike Nicholas, President RAEDC participated in Lunch Outside the Box discussing Economic Development. The IGNITE Rockford panel discussion, hosted at Rasmussen College also included Thomas Bona, Director of Research and Information, EDDNI; Jarid Funderberg, Executive Director, Growth Dimensions; and Mike Dunn, Executive Director, RMAP.
Questions to the panel included citing the biggest assets of the Rockford Region. The assets often include the quality of workforce, proximity to Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison and the business friendliness of the area. The conversation also incorporated how the gaps in resources can be closed to ensure tangible successes for the Rockford Region.
Attended by members of IGNITE Rockford , a group dedicated to engaging young professionals within the community and encouraging engagement within their city; to serve on boards, volunteering and to make the Rockford Region feel at home.
