ROCKFORD, July 16 — In preparation for operating its new Rockford facility, AAR is seeking local businesses as supply chain partners in an upcoming event on August 18. Participation is based on an application approval process required by AAR, using targeted search for specific supplier categories. The deadline for the application is June 28. AAR is a global provider of products and services to commercial airlines, government agencies and original equipment manufacturers. AAR – the largest Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Operator (MRO) in the United States – is building a new hangar at Chicago Rockford International Airport. This is a big win for the Rockford Region, as the facility is expected to employ up to 500 people within five years and provide service to next-generation, wide-body aircraft.
