RAEDC & SupplyCore Partner to Source PPE for Business Community

Recently the Rockford Area Economic Development Council (RAEDC) and SupplyCore have partnered to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to the region’s businesses. The shipment is being distributed from the Rocktown Adventures Building at 313 N Madison St, Rockford, IL 61107 on Wednesday, May 20th from Noon to 4:00 pm and Thursday, May 21st from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

This joint initiative was undertaken to help ensure our community, both employers and employees have access to the required PPE as directed by Gov. Pritzker in his May 1st Executive Order, requiring any individual over the age of two and able to medically tolerate a face-covering to wear one when in an outdoor public place and unable to maintain a six-foot social distance. Face coverings are also required in public indoor spaces and workplaces.

By providing the supplies at cost to the community SupplyCore and the RAEDC continue to provide resources to businesses within our region. It is important to both organizations that the community in which we live, work, and play in have every advantage possible when it comes to the safety of our employees.

“This partnership is one of the many ways SupplyCore is able to support our community. We are proud to be a resource. Adaptability and collaboration are the backbone of our culture. This project demonstrates we live our company’s mission – to sustain and enhance our nation in times of peace and crisis.” states Peter Provenzano, President & CEO of SupplyCore.

Companies that have ordered PPE can pick up their supplies on Wednesday, May 20th from Noon to 4:00 pm and Thursday, May 21st from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. It is important that companies bring their order confirmation with them to collect their order.

“I’m really proud of the team for pulling something like this together. This type of project isn’t in our wheelhouse but by pivoting and connecting the dots the RAEDC continues to cultivate opportunities that improve the well-being of our region for both businesses and employees,” says Nathan Bryant, President & CEO of the RAEDC.

Since this initiative started many companies have reached out as suppliers of PPE allowing the RAEDC to transition into a roll of connector again. If companies still need PPE visit ReopenRockfordIL.com or RockfordIL.com/PPE to find local companies that can fulfill your needs.
