AAR Corp. broke ground in October 2014 on the highly anticipated new maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility at Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD). The $40 million, 200,000-square-foot facility, announced in August, includes a 9 1/2-story jet hangar. It is expected to operate 24 hours a day and generate more than 500 new jobs.
