The RRWRD was formed in 1926 and has expanded in size and boundary limits over the years. The plant at 3333 Kishwaukee St. serves the wastewater treatment needs of six area communities and employs 110 people. The plant has a capacity of 45 MGD (million gallons per day) and currently pumps approximately 27 MGD.
