The Manufacturing Day Planning Committee invites you to participate in northern Illinois’ annual Manufacturing Day, October 10, 2019. There are four options for participation in the event, consider one, two or four:
1) COMPANY TOURS
Students from each school will tour a location; tours will start in the morning lasting approximately 60 minutes with a group size of 20-25 students. Prior to this visit, the committee requests that a company representative speak to students that will be touring their facility. This will provide the students with the necessary background to better understand the tour experience; companies will also be able to make initial contacts with potential interns and/or employees.
2) MANUFACTURING EXPO
Host a booth at the Expo to provide students with company awareness including types of products and services offered, and various careers; Expo will be located at another site following the tour experience – starting late morning and lasting approximately 2 hours.
3) GROUP LEADER
During lunch, facilitate a group conversation with students about manufacturing and the region opportunities in this industry.
4) SPONSORSHIP
Support the event with a monetary contribution to assist with luncheon and Expo venue expenses.
