US News and World Reports has included Rockford, IL as one of the Best Places to Live in its annual list.
For the first time the list has been expanded to include 150 of the best places to live in the U.S. To make the list, a place has to have good value, be a desirable place to live, have a strong job market and a high quality of life.
Citing great activities, location in relation to large cities such as Chicago, IL and Madison, WI, as well as, the quality of life are reasons Rockford has made the list.
With a ranking of 7.3 for value, 5.7 for quality of life, and a 5.8 overall ranking. The Rockford Region is making progress on being a Top 25 community.
