Superior Joining Technologies, Inc. is ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) registered. ITAR regulates the manufacture, export, and transfer of Defense & Military -related articles, information, and services and is under the direct oversight of the U.S. Department of State. ITAR is a requirement for participation in many defense-related manufacturing and development programs.
This certification positions SJTI to further service the defense & military markets. With our significant commitment and expertise in advanced technologies such as Laser Welding, GTAW Welding, Precision 5-Axis Machining, and Additive Manufacturing we are primed well to address the needs of our customers in the aerospace, defense, and military markets, in addition to the other markets we serve now.
SJTI has been following ITAR requirements for some time, but has now completed the necessary steps to achieve formal registration. Being ITAR registered with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) means that Superior Joining Technologies, Inc. complies with the ITAR requirements for the receipt, storage, handling, and removal of ITAR-controlled data received from customers and that AVID observes the restrictions on access to ITAR-controlled information.
