Michele Petrie has been hired as Branch President of Wintrust Commercial Bank in Rockford. In her role as Branch President, she will be charged with establishing the Wintrust business in the Rockford region. She will be responsible for staffing, opening offices, determining sales strategies, creating loan and deposit solutions for businesses, and managing Bank activities in the community. Michele has more than 24 years of invaluable experience in the industry and is an expert in engaging with customers in a value-added way.
Ms. Petrie graduated from Indiana University earning a Bachelor of Science in finance, with a minor in history. Her career choice was influenced by her parents, as they became bankers after serving in the military. Ms. Petrie also benefits from working and living in several communities in her childhood and as an adult where she was influenced by new ideas. Currently, she is the Chairperson of the Rockford Area Economic Development Council, the Vice-Chairperson of the Rockford Chamber of Commerce, on the Executive Committee and Board of the Crusader Community Health Foundation and a Board member of the Rockford Local Development Corporation. Michele previously served in various community leadership roles with the Laurent House Foundation, the Deans Action Council of The University of Illinois College of Medicine, and the YMCA of Rock River Valley. Michele has lived in Rockford for 9 years with her husband, her children and her extended family.
