ROCKFORD, Dec 10 — Five local banks stepped up to the plate and provided a $17million dollar line of credit towards the MRO construction at the Chicago Rockford International Airport. The construction work was at a stoppage point due to a lack of state funding.
Due to the importance of the project to the region Alpine Bank, Blackhawk Bank, Byron Bank, Northwest Bank and Rockford Bank & Trust ensured it could continue unabated. The MRO facilities are expected to be completed mid-2016 and provide between 500 and 1,000 people with high-quality jobs.
