Accuride Rockford Operations Wins 2015 AME Award

ROCKFORD — Dec 8. Congratulations to Accuride Wheel End Solutions’ Rockford Operations! They received the 2015 AME Excellence Award.

In 2013 Accuride chose to invest $40 million into upgrading the Rockford location, improving processes and capabilities. The new plant consolidated three facilities into one keeping 410 jobs in the Rockford Region.

Gunite (an Accuride Corporation Subsidary) was founded in 1854 and thought to be Rockford’s oldest manufacturing company. It celebrated 160 years in business in 2014.
