Jimsi Kuborn promoted to Vice President of Investor Relations at RAEDC


Jimsi 1577re 4x6 ROCKFORD, Sept. 30 — The Rockford Area Economic Development is pleased to announce the promotion of Jimsi Kuborn to Vice President of Investor Relations.

Kuborn has served as Director of Investor Relations since April 2014, leading the council’s investor relations and fund development efforts as well as the Rockforward2! campaign, which wraps up its third and final year in December. She represents the RAEDC throughout the community in various roles and works with a variety of partner organizations. She also acts as the staff liaison for two of the RAEDC’s investor-led Solutions Teams, Business and Community Relations and Education and Workforce Development, as well as the RAEDC’s Leadership Council and its two tax-related projects.

“Jimsi has been invaluable in driving the RAEDC’s strategic planning process this year, and her leadership is critical moving forward with Rockforward20/20 and the investment campaign to support our efforts to cultivate opportunities for primary job growth,” RAEDC President Mike Nicholas said.

Kuborn is a Rockford Region native who has tremendous passion for her hometown; she has volunteered for such groups as Next Rockford, Transform Rockford, Alignment Rockford, Rockford Symphony Orchestra and the Rock Valley College GED Advisory Committee.

Prior to joining the RAEDC, Kuborn held positions in marketing, public relations, business development and real estate. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University.

“I am driven by my desire to be part of the region’s growing momentum,” Kuborn said.
