Report: Tours help sell Rockford to young professionals

ROCKFORD, July 24 — The Rockford Register Star publishes a Transform themed section each month. July’s focus is on Rockford’s image.

The section, which publishes in print July 26, includes a story about efforts by Rockford Region organizations to help businesses bring young professionals to Rockford.

For example, the Rockford Area Economic Development Council and IGNITE assist with familiarization tours for job candidates visiting the Rockford Region.

Jimsi Kuborn, RAEDC Director of Investor Relations, does this as part of her job. “A third-generation Rockfordian who has experienced living in other parts of the country, Kuborn enjoys highlighting the city’s assets: the schools, parks, social scene, capital investments, culture and history,” the story mentions.
