Report: Exports from the Rockford area continue to grow

ROCKFORD, May 6 — According to mystateline.com, exports from the Rockford area increased to $2.53 billion in 2013.

Rockford Area Economic Development Council’s President, Mike Nicholas, is quoted on how the RAEDC supports international trade, “Exports are definitely growing; the RAEDC manages the foreign trade zones at the airport and we also operate the international trade center. Both of those have been very helpful in helping companies find ways to import products less expensively,” said Michael Nicholas, president of RAEDC.”
