Report: 2016 looks bright for the Rockford Region

ROCKFORD — The future of the Rockford Region is looking up in 2015 and especially the following year, according to a Jan. 4 Rockford Register Star article.

The newspaper wrapped up a number of regional projects that will take shape made Paul Logli, president and CEO of the United Way of Rock River Valley say, “I’m probably more optimistic about 2016 than I have been in a couple of decades.”

Mark Podemski, vice president of development at the Rockford Area Economic Development Council, was also quoted on how the momentum of several years’ efforts will continue to grow as more private sector money is invtested. “When you look back over the last eight to 10 years, some of the boulders we have moved have been amazing.”
