CHICAGO, Dec. 8 — The Rockford Area Economic Development Council has earned an award from the Mid-America Economic Development Council at the 2014 Mid-America Competitiveness Conference & Site Selector Forum at the Intercontinental Hotel. THE RAEDC won first place in Business Retention and Expansion for its 2013 Voice of the Customer Summary Report. As part of its mission to include the community in economic development, the RAEDC conducts a Voice of the Customer (VOC) survey each year with dozens of business leaders. The report reflects a broad spectrum of input about the local business climate and the economic needs of the Rockford Region. Participation includes completing a confidential survey and scheduling a one-hour meeting so RAEDC staff can fully understand and possibly assist with operational issues/challenges, including workforce traning, exports/imports, facility expansions and networking. It is also an opportunity for businesses to shape economic development decisions, reflect their opinions about the business climate and facilitate regional competitiveness.’ To schedule your Voice of the Customer survey, contact Bea Miller at bmiller@rockfordil.com or 815-969-4255. The Mid-America Economic Development Council is a multi-state association dedicated to being the leading resource for education, making connections and sharing best practices for economic development professionals.
