Our first Z-Tech panel punch was developed in 1984. At the time, I was the owner of a control panel business and we were contracted to produce systems for a brand new line of zinc die cast machines. Each machine needed to have three 1/8 DIN temperature controllers installed in the operator’s panel. It did not take us long to discover it took a LOT of time to create these openings using the traditional methods for custom openings, drilling and sawing. Round panel knockout dies and hydraulic pullers had been around for years but dies for any type of new or specialty opening just did not exist.
Fast forward to today…. We stock over 300 models of knockout sizes from 1/4\” \”D\” to 8\” by 10\” SGDD die set. We also recently invented a unique balanced hydraulic drive system for large opening type die sets and have a US patent pending.ALL of our products are designed and manfactured here at Z-Tech, located in the heartland of the United States of America.
