Rock Valley College Aviation Maintenance Graduates Guaranteed Interview

AAR will be hosting open job interviews at Rock Valley College’s Aviation Career Education Center at the Chicago-Rockford International Airport on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 (National Aviation Maintenance Technician Day). There will be two open interview sessions that day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.  AAR is delivering on its promise to guarantee an interview to any graduate of RVC’s Aviation Maintenance Technology program. To date, AAR has already hired 10 RVC graduates to work in its new MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) facility at the Chicago-Rockford International Airport.

AAR’s MRO was purposefully designed to service next-generation aircraft. The facility features two, ten-story hangars that each measure 300 feet by 300 feet. The state-of-the-art structure can accommodate all wide-body aircrafts, including the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747-8, and can hold as many as four Boeing 787s.

RVC boasts one of the best Aviation Maintenance Technology programs in the country. RVC offers a program of the highest quality at a significantly lower cost than other options in the region. Students learn in the College’s state-of-the-art Aviation Career Education Center from outstanding faculty with a combined 150+ years of diverse experience in the field. The program boasts an impressive learning experience in the instruction lab and classroom environment, and offers a two-year, FAA approved degree program, and an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic certification program. Students learn everything from materials and processes, aircraft drawing, fuel and lubrication systems, ignition systems, propeller systems, assembly and rigging and so much more in this exciting field.
