The Rockford Register Star reports Governor Rauner signed the bill extending the Rivers Edge Tax Credit through January 1, 2018. The tax credit provides dollar-for-dollar credits that are used in the restoration of certified historical buildings along five Rivers Edge Communities in Illinois. These tax credits have been used to repurpose and restore buildings such as the Rockford Trust building and Prairie Street Brew House.
